Starting on Wednesday 15 January, we spent three days in Court, fighting the Government’s Right to Rent policy for a second time. 
In Spring 2019, the High Court ruled that the Right to Rent policy – a key pillar of the Hostile Environment – causes racism and is unlawful.
The Government wants to continue implementing the policy, and so we found ourselves at the Court of Appeal.
Over the course of the hearing, the Court of Appeal heard from our brilliant legal team, who explained the robust evidence we gathered showing that forcing landlords to carry out immigration checks was causing racial discrimination in the housing market.
