Sahdya Darr is an advocate for social justice and human rights in the UK and abroad. She has advocated for the rights of asylum seekers and refugees, students in UK higher education, Palestinians’ human rights and women from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee communities. She has worked in Afghanistan supporting the delivery of the National Solidarity Programme, Afghanistan’s flagship national priority programme, in Israel and the West Bank monitoring and reporting on violations of human rights and international humanitarian law and participated in UN Human Rights Council sessions in Geneva. She has also published a report for the British and Irish Agencies Afghanistan Group (BAAG) to raise public awareness across the EU of development assistance and delivered workshops to young offenders and those at risk of offending on the influence of culture and migration on language.
