Areeba Hamid is a campaigner with over a decade of experience working at senior levels in Greenpeace offices around the world. She has campaigned to halt climate breakdown throughout her career including marine conservation; fisheries protection, halting expansion of coal in India; palm oil and related rainforests destruction in Indonesia and its consumption across Europe and US; and getting banks to end financing tar sands in Canada and North America. She is passionate about using effective campaign and communications strategies to drive change in a complex world where environment, economic growth and identities are intertwined.
As a immigrant in a post-Brexit Britain herself, she is committed to rights and dignity of immigrants across the world.
