“We are delighted to welcome Paola Uccellari (she/her) as our new Interim Executive Director! Paola will be joining the JCWI team for the next 12 months as we develop and transition into our new organisational strategy. She will work closely with staff and trustees to deliver this work, which we look forward to unveiling later this year, whilst continuing to ensure JCWI remains committed to migrant communities experiencing discrimination and injustice.
Paola has over ten years’ experience in leadership positions, including at the Equal Rights Trust, the Children’s Rights Alliance for England, the Equality and Human Rights Commission and the Law Society.
She has a history of campaigning on migrants’ and refugees’ rights, including leading the Law Society’s response to the Nationality and Borders Bill and the EHRC’s response to the hostile environment, influencing the UN’s findings on the UK’s treatment of child refugees and migrants and w…
