The Home Office increased visa fees on 4 October 2023, putting fees for some applications up by 35%.
For people making some applications, there is support if you cannot afford the visa fees.
If you need to apply for a visa as a partner or parent, or your other human rights, or because you have been trafficked, you can apply for something called a fee waiver.
This is where you make an application and show the Home Office that you can’t afford the fee. If you are successful, you will be allowed to apply without paying the application fees.
JCWI will be running an online information session for people who need to apply for a visa, but are worried about being able to pay the fees. The session is free, confidential and will be run by one of JCWI’s expert immigration lawyers.
Date: Wednesday 1 November
Time: 17:30 – 18:30
