JCWI stands in full solidarity with all trans and gender diverse people. We support clients with a range of gender identities to fight for their right to live in the UK, we work in solidarity with LGBTQ+ organisations working with queer and trans migrants. We also work to make JCWI a safe and welcoming place for people with trans identities.
We know that in the UK, trans people – especially trans people of colour, and those with precarious immigration status – face multiple forms of oppression and violence, including from the state and borders. As an organisation working for social justice, we recognise that solidarity with trans people is a vital part of our work.
