Before taking early retirement in 2014, Pal had over 30 years’ experience of working in public and voluntary sector.  Pal’s job first was at JCWI as a trainee advisor before being appointed was advice worker. Pal has served as a board trustee of many voluntary sector organisations including Child Poverty Action Group, JCWI, Camden Community Relations Council, Hackney Race Equality Council, Single Homeless Project, London Voluntary Sector Council and Wealden Citizen Advice. He is currently volunteering with his local Food Bank in Folkestone.
