This course is suitable for those sitting the OISC competence assessment at Level 3 and may assist those sitting the Law Society accreditation exam at Level 2. It will provide delegates with a higher level of understanding of immigration and asylum law and practice, as required at OISC Level 3.
Course content
As OISC Level 3 is distinguished by competence to conduct Tribunal appeals and advocacy, the course will address the rights, procedures, scope and conduct of appeals in the Immigration and Asylum Chamber. It will also include:
International protection, including fresh claims and any important new developments;
UK immigration law, in particular the latest developments in the application of Article 8 ECHR to Immigration Rules and policy and developments in case law;
EU free movement and EU citizenship law, including assessment of the proposed Brexit agreement on citizens’ rights;
