Dona John joined JCWI in April 2021 as its first-ever Operations Director. She has over 15 years of international experience working with civil society, universities, private sector, government and socio-economic marginalized groups across Asia, Africa, Europe, Caribbean and the United States on complex human rights and social justice issues. She is a lawyer by training committed to using her knowledge and experience in law and management to improve the lives of the most disadvantaged. She moved to the UK in 2019 and is passionate about professionalising how charities operate, focusing on improvement in systems and processes. She loves working with diversity in any form be it diversity of opinion, culture, religion, or gender.
