JCWI has joined 38 other organisations and campaigners in writing to new Home Secretary Priti Patel, urging her to support common-sense reforms and begin the important work of building a fair and humane immigration system that works for everyone.
Signatories to the joint letter called on the Home Secretary to take a range of simple but effective measures, including ending the Hostile Environment, lifting the ban on working for seekers of asylum, ending indefinite detention and protecting the rights of families. Over the last few years it’s become all too clear that reform is both possible and necessary.
