Sadly, all the hints and headlines indicate that\u00a0nothing has changed, and she is continuing with the same tried-and-failed model of cruelty\u00a0that Priti Patel and many Home Secretaries before her championed.<br \/>\nWe now know that Suella Braverman is competent at photocopying, but surely we can do better than this?\u00a0  We would love to hear her plans to\u00a0open up safe routes for asylum seekers, so no one is forced to cross one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world in a dinghy.  Or her realisation that\u00a0the UK\u2019s astronomical visa fees and constant renewals\u00a0mean\u00a0more people have been pushed out of official immigration status here\u00a0than\u00a0almost anywhere else in Europe.
