You can read more about our legal challenge in our guide to the Right to Rent scheme.\u00a0<br \/>\nWe are currently working alongside Leigh Day solicitors (the same legal team who represented us in our legal case) to prepare an appeal to the\u00a0European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\nTo do this, we are speaking to people who have been affected by the Right to Rent policy.<br \/>\nPeople affected are likely to be:<\/p>\n<p>Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic British citizen (with or without a passport); OR<br \/>\nSomeone who has Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR); OR<br \/>\nSomeone with\u00a0another form of immigration status\u00a0e.g. Limited Leave to Remain (LLR), Pre-Settled Status or work \/ student visa; AND<br \/>\nSomeone who has tried to rent in the private sector in England since &#8230;<br \/><embed style=\"cursor: pointer;\" src=\"\" type=\"\"><\/embed><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>JCWI has been involved in\u00a0a legal action\u00a0against the UK Government\u2019s discriminatory\u00a0Right to Rent policy, which makes it harder for black and minority ethnic people and migrants to rent a home in the UK.
