We will keep you up to date with ways you can campaign for migrants&#8217; rights or donate to support people who move.<\/p>\n<p>Our thoughts are with the people of Afghanistan.<br \/>\nRight now we are seeing what it means to flee your home. There is no queue, no forms to fill in.<br \/>\nPeople are running for safety by every route available.\u00a0We need an asylum system that recognises the reality of crisis.<br \/>\nWith the rights and lives of millions of Afghan nationals put at risk by the Taliban, the UK asylum system needs urgent change, so that those fleeing violence are able to rebuild their lives.<br \/>\nWe urge the Home Secretary to:<\/p>\n<p>Abandon the &#8216;resettlement-only&#8217; plans set out in the Nationality and Borders Bill, that would criminalise or deny full refugee status to those who make their own journeys to seek asylum in the UK<br \/>\nGrant immediate asylum to Afghans already waiting for status in the UK<br \/>\nRelease all Afghan nationals from detentio&#8230;<br \/><embed style=\"cursor: pointer;\" src=\"\" type=\"\"><\/embed><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Join us today to stand with Afghan refugees, and for a fairer society.
