In her poem, &#8216;Letter&#8217;, she describes the experience of receiving a letter from the Home Office with news of her fate &#8211; would her asylum claim be accepted or not? Despite being recognised as a victim of trafficking, it took Titi and her solicitor at JCWI, Nicola Burgess, three attempts before she was granted asylum.<br \/>\nLetter<br \/>\nLetter! Letter!! Letter!!!<br \/>\nletter, sweet sensational sad letter<br \/>\nAs I stood there<br \/>\ngazing at the letter<br \/>\n101 questions dived through my mind<br \/>\nLetter! my mindset repeated the word &#8220;letter&#8221;<br \/>\nMy heart skipped a beat at the sight of it<br \/>\nLegs turns to jelly<br \/>\nLetter, sweet sensational sad letter<br \/>\nstomach crumbled and immediately lost appetite<br \/>\nat the entrance of the word &#8220;letter&#8221;<br \/>\nOpen it!<br \/>\nWhat could you read?<br \/>\nWhat you read will either give you peace or tear you to pieces<br \/>\nI could perceive sadness<br \/>\nletter, sweet sensational sad letter<br \/>\nAs depression, desolation and dejection crept in<br \/>\nMy heart was overwhelmed with b&#8230;<br \/><embed style=\"cursor: pointer;\" src=\"\" type=\"\"><\/embed><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Titi lives with her children in the south of England.
