Many of us\u00a0have lost loved ones. Many more have\u00a0lost jobs and livelihoods. We have all\u00a0learned how important it is to feel safe,\u00a0loved and cared for.<br \/>\nBut throughout this crisis, countless\u00a0lives have been saved and many of our\u00a0communities have been kept afloat.\u00a0Not by walls or hostility but by workers.\u00a0<br \/>\nWhen the end of the pandemic is\u00a0declared, we will owe our survival to\u00a0the millions of workers who have risked\u00a0their lives and their health to feed, carry\u00a0and protect us. Standing shoulder to shoulder with their British colleagues,\u00a0they have come from all over the world\u00a0and made this their home.
