{"id":3144,"date":"2020-06-29T12:49:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-29T11:49:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mirachsolicitors.com\/build-back-better-after-covid-19"},"modified":"2020-06-29T12:49:00","modified_gmt":"2020-06-29T11:49:00","slug":"build-back-better-after-covid-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mirachsolicitors.com\/mirachwp\/build-back-better-after-covid-19","title":{"rendered":"Build Back Better after covid 19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we emerge from this crisis, now is the time to Build Back Better.<br \/>\nTo do so we must heed the lessons it has taught:<br \/>\nThat as a society, for many years, we did not listen to the scientists about the risks of such a pandemic and were not prepared.<br \/>\nThat for decades our health and social care systems were both dangerously under-resourced and in need of reform.<br \/>\nThat many key workers in our economy &#8211; many of them women, and many not born in this country &#8211; are among the least valued and lowest-paid.<br \/>\nThat longstanding inequalities in our society have left too many vulnerable.<br \/>\nAnd that no country can stand alone in the face of common threats.<br \/>\nYet we can also draw on new sources of hope:<br \/>\nThat when faced with a crisis, government can spend wisely, at speed and at scale.<br \/>\nThat care, neighbourliness and mutual support are the threads that bind our communities together.<br \/>\nThat clean air and a concern for wellbeing can inspire more sustainable and enjoyable ways of living.<br \/>\nAnd that by workin&#8230;<br \/><embed style=\"cursor: pointer;\" src=\"\" type=\"\"><\/embed><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As we emerge from this crisis, now is the time to Build Back Better.
