How much are the fees, and what if I can&#039;t pay?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For 2019\/20, the application fee for a spouse visa is \u00a31523 if you&#8217;re applying from outside the UK, and \u00a31033 if you&#8217;re applying from within the UK.<br \/>\nOn top of this, you&#8217;ll have to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge, which is \u00a31200 from outside the UK and \u00a31000 from within the UK.<br \/>\nThere are other costs you will have to bear in mind, such as the cost of translating a marriage certificate, taking a recognised English test or getting a qualification certified by UK NARIC.\u00a0<br \/>\nIf the applicant is from certain countries, they will also have to take a tuberculosis test, which can cost over \u00a3100 depending on where they are from, and whether there is a Home Office-approved testing centre close by.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Fee waivers<br \/>\nThe applicant can only apply for a fee waiver &#8211; for when you can&#8217;t pay the application fee &#8211; if the sponsor is exempt from meeting the financial requirement due to receiving one of the benefits listed above.
