Before joining JCWI I completed a masters in International Liaison and Communication(Currently called International Communication, Advocacy and Liaison) from University of Westminster. Prior to that, I worked in communications and digital engagement, fundraising, volunteering for a range of national and international charities, including Campaign For Tobacco Free Kids, Migrants Voice, Greenpeace, Save Sundarbans From Oilspill, Green Circle Alliance. 
I am the co-founder of 12 Vaja that works to ensure the rights of grassroots trans and non-binary people in Bangladesh.
