The Policy and Advocacy Manager plays a key role in the development and delivery of JCWI’s advocacy strategy.
Within the larger Advocacy department, you manage a small but effective team developing policy recommendations and influencing strategies to bring about policy change for migrant communities. You exercise sound political judgement and advocacy skills to identify and/or create opportunities to strategically influence key decision-makers. You coordinate and conduct research to inform and act as an evidence base for our policy positions.
You build coalitions, work collaboratively with others internally and externally both at a grassroots and an advocacy-focused level, and act as a spokesperson for the organisation. You assist, where necessary, with fundraising opportunities. You deputise, as needed, for the Advocacy Director.
